The only problem I see running them in parallel, is that if one pump (assuming you have dual fuel pumps, each rail having its own dedicated pump).. would be that if one pump dies, you would not notice the fuel pressure drop. Unless, you ran a fuel pressure gauge for EACH pump. Even if you tied a "T" fitting into each pump into one gauge.. You would not notice the sudden pressure loss because the FRP would be set ~40psi anyways. I guess the next best thing is running two LED indicator lights from each pump, with one GREEN for the correct voltage range and one RED for an over-voltage or under-voltage, signaling you that the pump is failing.. Which should be a very easy install. You could run TWO fuel pumps that tie into a -8AN OR -10AN fuel line feed into a 'Y' or 'T' fitting that reduce into twin -6AN lines that feed the fuel rails.. WHICH WOULD BE MY PERSONAL CHOICE.. If you did not mind twin fuel pressure gauges.. that would be the best choice.. But I would just run the LED's to indicate a failing fuel pump etc..
NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin. :
